Our Students First First Residence Life program is based on both experience and research that shows living in dynamic and positive communities enhances student success and resident satisfaction. That, in turn, directly impacts the bottom line. The Students First program is committed to achieving at each of our properties our vision of “more people are living successful and enriched lives.”
Students First is a service-driven program focused on the importance of connection:
- Connection to One Another
We help our residents develop a sense of investment and influence in their community through social, educational and relationship-building programs initiated by our Community Assistants.
- Connection to Campus & Community
We connect residents with the resources and services that will help them succeed as students by building strong relationships with schools that our residents attend and encouraging their involvement with campus clubs and organizations.
- Connection to Themselves
We promote the active development of our residents in order to increase their personal growth and identity — as both an individual and as part of the community in which they live.
Students First provides residents with social, educational and recreational experiences in each of our six programming areas:
- Life Skills
- Academic Success
- Valuing Differences
- Civic Engagement & Volunteerism
Our Residence Life Department also provides year-round training, resources and guidance to on-site Resident Directors and Community Assistants to promote the building and maintaining of each community. The department and the Students First program helps to ensure that each resident is more successful by having lived at a Campus Advantage property.
