Campus Advantage has conducted many consulting studies primarily focused on new student housing feasibility studies, market analyses, acquisition due diligence, and operational assessment for existing student housing communities. Clients include universities, large national developers, investment banks, and regional private developers. The resulting studies are used by investors, local governments, universities, and developers to ascertain the feasibility of a project or as guidance for developing new housing including specific recommendations on target student demographics, unit types, amenities, and services as well as pro forma operating expenses.

Campus Advantage is unique by combining exceptional consulting services backed by hands-on operational experience of over 32,000 beds. We have assisted more than 100 clients with new student housing developments, providing detailed design consulting as well as real estate expertise. Our consulting services create value for owners through our extensive comprehension of all aspects of market trends, as well as development, leasing, and management of student housing communities.

SCOTT DUCKETT
Senior Vice President

As Senior Vice President, Scott is responsible for initiating new and maintaining existing relationships with colleges, universities, private owners, and allied business partners. In addition, Scott also manages a team of Analysts that provide services ranging from initial feasibility studies to development design consulting. His group prepares RFP responses for universities and private firms, conducts due diligence for acquisitions, and prepares detailed Market Analyses for new developments and acquisitions.

Scott worked as a student recruiter and campus liaison at Oregon State University prior to serving 2 years as an educator in the Peace Corps in the West Indies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Oregon State University and a Master of Science degree in Geography & Urban Planning from Portland State University.

BRIAN SELBO
Executive Vice President, Development Services

Brian Selbo, Executive Vice President of Development Services, is a seasoned professional with over twenty-five years of real estate acquisition, development, portfolio management, asset management and disposition experience. His primary responsibility within the company is to source and execute development projects on behalf of its various clients. He has extensive administrative and management experience within the real estate departments of corporate financial institutions, REITS, as well as privately owned entrepreneurial organizations. Mr. Selbo has led the development of over 30 multi-family projects totaling nearly 5500 units.

RONNIE L. MACEJEWSKI
Senior Vice President, Development Services

Ronnie Macejewski brings over 15 years of development experience to Campus Advantage’s team. He began his career with Century Development as an Assistant Project Manager working his way up to Project Manager. He then held the position of Vice President Construction for American Campus Communities, eventually serving as Senior Vice President of Development and Construction. While at ACC, he successfully completed 50 student housing communities, consisting of more than 28,000 beds with a total development costs in excess of $1 billion in 16 states across the United States. The projects ranged in size from $10,000,000 to $105,000,000, and every project was delivered on-time and within budget. Most recently, Mr. Macejewski served as partner for Carlisle Development, where he completed several multi-family projects.

Mr. Macejewski holds a B.B.A. with a major in Statistics from the University of Oklahoma. He currently is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the American Planning Association.

MICHAEL ORSAK
Vice President of Acquisitions

Michael C. Orsak is charged with the execution of Acquisition Services for Campus Advantage. This entails the evaluation and analysis of potential investments for its various clients. Michael supervises the process of acquisition from consideration and evaluation, through underwriting, contract negotiations and due diligence, to closing, including securing debt and equity.

 Michael has been active in real estate for over a decade with versatile experience student housing development, acquisition and asset management. Prior to joining Campus Advantage, Michael held roles as Assistant Vice President for GMH Communities Trust as well as Director of Investments at American Campus Communities.  He has participated in evaluating over $6.0B in potential investments and closed on over $1.1B totaling 54 properties encompassing over 32,000 beds.

EDDIE MORENO
Development Analyst

Eddie Moreno serves as Development Analyst for Campus Advantage. In this capacity, Eddie assists with development opportunity sourcing, project feasibility analysis and underwriting, market studies, and due diligence. He began his career managing the initial lease up of The Exchange at Tucson, a purpose-built student housing project developed by Fairfield Residential, LLC. Eddie joined Campus Advantage in 2006, focusing on initial operations and new construction properties. He has strong back ground in property management, systems & financial operations. Eddie currently holds a CAM certification through the National Apartment Association, is a member of the Urban Land Institute, and serves on several volunteer committees with the American Diabetes Association – Central Texas Region.

Eddie has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

BRITTANY BELSON
Market Analyst

Brittany Belson serves as a market analyst for Campus Advantage. Brittany works with the Business Development Department to assist with new projects, market feasibility studies, and due diligence reports for existing clients. She also assists with identifying new housing markets. In her time with Campus Advantage, she has consulted on the development or acquisition of over 17,000 beds and has vast experience in determining market trends and demand, as well as developing unit mix and rate matrices for potential developments. She began her career in real estate working as a Sales and Marketing Consultant for a luxury condominium project located in downtown Austin, TX.

Brittany has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.
